July: *See Wei Ming Wei (or Shayna) picture and file on MAAWC Yahoo Group
*Visit Mimi... Ted and I use his Laptop to do a little more research and contact Madison Adoption Associates.
Aug: *Return home from Mimi's house and wait for confirmation of contact from Madison
*Out to Monkey Joe's with friends... I tell my friend what's going on and that I will call MAA when I go home.
*Call Madison and find out someone else is interested in "Shayna" or Wei MingWei
* Wait for a call back from Madison
*4 p.m. and I am afraid offices will close... so I call again and get an answer that they will hold the file for 3 days.
*We call a doctor in Michigan that will review files for reasonable rates.
* Hear back from the doctor and Lock our file in
*Receive PA (pre approval) from China
*We share our news!
*Begin Homestudy
Sept: *Complete Homestudy
*Send Homestudy to USCIS
Oct: * In the packed car, leaving for Disneyworld... we get the mail on our way out and find a package from USCIS... we have left out page 9 and will have to re-submit.
*Print new page 9 from hotel in Mississippi
*Send application back to USCIS postmarked... DisneyWorld
Nov: *Receive fingerprint appt.
*Take a chance, try to get fingerprinted before our appt... Praise God, they take us!
Dec: * Receive USCIS approval
*Get everything state sealed
*Send everything to be authenticated at the Chinese Consulate in Chicago
*Receive authentication back (Dec. 30)... make copies and overnight to Madison
2010
Jan: * Madison receives Dossier and sends it all to China (1/4/10 - DTC)
*China Receives our Dossier and logs us in (LID 1/17/10)
March: *LOA (Letter of Acceptance) 3/22/10
